Grandfathering Provision

We recognize that your individual experience, education, and training serve as a foundation for your professional contributions in the realm of business management or IT management.

BizIT is acknowledging your efforts to keep abreast of best practices in your field by offering you the opportunity to leverage the education, experience, and training you’ve accumulated to obtain our coveted certifications. The certifications currently available under the grandfathering provision are:

• Certified Business Management Professional (CbMP^TM)
• Certified Technology Management Professional (CtMP^TM)

BizIT certifications give our members a competitive edge in pursuing employment opportunities and provide them with added value as an asset to their current employers. In recognition of your accomplishments, we are offering a grandfathering provision through June 30, 2009, that enables you to obtain the certification you deserve without sitting for the exam.

It is free of charge to apply for the CbMP and/or CtMP certification(s) under the grandfathering provisions. Once approved, the fee for each certification is $47.

Fee Schedule

As you’ll see from the application form below, we’re asking for a substantial amount of information. That’s because we want to ensure that our rigorous standards remain intact.

Once you submit your application, BizIT’s Certification Committee will review the information you provide and reach a decision within two to four weeks which will be communicated to you via email. Please be assured that we will keep the information you provide in strictest confidence, and that the Committee will be circumspect when contacting your references.
